Purdy Sod Farm is used for flying during the summer months, when crops are planted at our primary field.
Tripoli Indiana would like to express our deep and sincere appreciation to Mr. Ed Purdy for allowing us to use his property for a launch field. The field is located in central Tippecanoe County, 6 ½ miles East of Dayton, between US 52 and IN State Road 43 on Tippecanoe County Road 350 South. The launch field is about 1 mile Northeast of McCutheon High School.
Directions from I65 & SR-38:
Go West (toward Lafayette) on Indiana State Road 38 — 1.5 miles. Turn left (South) on Tippecanoe County Road 475 EAST which crosses US 52 and becomes Tippecanoe County Road 350 South – continue 3.8 miles (West) to Purdy Sod Farm. Turn left (South) onto the dirt access road and drive to the launch site.
